2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative and the launch of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, a key pilot project under the initiative. The Belt and Road Initiative is of great significance to regional economic development. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is a "lighthouse" project driving Pakistan's economic and social development, promoting regional connectivity and integration.

Pakistan Television Limited (PTV), the national broadcaster of Pakistan, which Saisi is supporting, was established in 1964 and is fully owned by the Pakistani government. Headquartered in Islamabad, it covers 87.8% of the country's population.

Time synchronization in the broadcasting and television media industry refers to the use of certain technical means to align the time of radio and television programs with standard time.

Frequency synchronization in the broadcasting and television media industry primarily refers to maintaining frequency consistency during the transmission of radio and television signals to ensure that receiving equipment can correctly receive and process the signals. Frequency synchronization is crucial in the broadcasting and television media industry, as radio and television signal transmission must adhere to a specific frequency range and modulation method.

Time and frequency synchronization helps ensure program accuracy and consistency, and enhances the viewing experience.

In recent years, with the rapid development of a multitude of new technologies, equipment, applications, and scenarios in broadcasting, television, and online audiovisual, such as XR virtual production and 3D audio, the data and information systems must process has become increasingly redundant and complex. In key areas such as digital content production, digital network construction, audio and video signal transmission, digital service convergence, and IP-based network production and broadcasting, misalignment between the sending and receiving ends can lead to signal distortion, interference, and reception issues, resulting in playback issues.

A high-precision clock synchronization system can safeguard signal transmission for broadcasting, television, and media services, reducing latency and errors and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for broadcasting, television, and audiovisual broadcasting.

A clock system can empower broadcasting system operations through the following steps:

1. Receiving GPS satellite signals: Devices obtain accurate time and frequency information by receiving GPS/Beidou satellite signals. These satellite signals contain highly precise atomic clock signals and navigation information, providing extremely high time accuracy and stability.

2. Extracting Time Information: The device extracts time information from GPS/Beidou satellite signals, including year, month, day, hour, minute, and second. This information is highly synchronized with UTC (Coordinated Universal Time).

3. Calibration of the Local Clock: The device uses the extracted time information to calibrate the local clock. This involves adjusting the frequency and phase of the local clock to align with the GPS/Beidou satellite signals.

4. Continuous Monitoring and Adjustment: The device continuously monitors GPS/Beidou satellite signals and adjusts the frequency and phase of the local clock in real time to maintain high synchronization with UTC.

Through these steps, the clock system can provide high-precision clock signals for the broadcasting and television media system, ensuring time synchronization between all nodes within the system, including audio and video synchronization, broadcast and television signal transmission and processing, and device time, thereby reducing the adverse effects of network latency and time inconsistencies. This synchronization method offers high accuracy and stability, making it suitable for large-scale broadcast and television transmission networks.

For Saisi, technology is the foundation of our business. Saisi's clock system products for the broadcasting and media industry are innovative time servers based on Beidou and GPS technologies, providing high-precision synchronization signals to broadcasting and media systems. They support dual-satellite redundancy, rubidium atomic clocks, and multiple 10MHz and 1PPS output interfaces.

10MHz signals are commonly used in applications such as digital audio broadcasting (DAB) and digital video broadcasting (DVB). In these applications, receiving devices require a high-precision clock reference signal to decode and process audio and video data. By combining the accurate time information from an NTP server with the 10MHz clock reference signal, the accuracy and consistency of program time synchronization can be further improved.
